Atmospheric Physics and Climatology

Mission

The mission of the unit is related to the:

  • Investigation of the global and regional climate change through analysis of satellite and terrestrial observations as well as simulations with climate models
  • Study of climate variability, in terms of climate trends, extreme events and their impact at various time scales
  • Facilitation in the development of climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies.
  • Understanding of air pollution and its interactions with climate change.
