Professor Phoebe Koundouri has been honored by the European Investment Bank as one of the 23 Women Climate Leaders of Europe. The Women Climate Leaders Network, is an initiative introduced by the European Investment Bank Group to advocate for women’s leadership in climate action and sustainability. Consisting of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Investment Fund (EIF), the EIB Group established the Women Climate Leaders Network in response to the urgent challenge of advancing the green transition and building climate resilience.

The inaugural gathering of the network was convened at the EIB Group headquarters in Luxembourg on February 8th and 9th. It brought together distinguished and influential women leaders from the private, financial, and academic sectors, representing all 27 EU Member States.
